Dental Assistant

Overview
*Pay is based on experience and can be negotiated*.We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our small, friendly, family oriented dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of dental procedures. This role involves assisting dentists during treatments and ensuring a smooth operation within the dental office. The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care for our general dentistry office.

Duties

• Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
• Take X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Maintain infection control standards and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout the office.
• Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
• Support various specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
• Knowledge of systems such as Dentrix and Dexis is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
